Quick Note about "The Fun Stuff" :
This page is almost starting to sound a little "too commercial" even for my tastes. I have been using computers for a couple of decades now and have been on the Internet for almost as long and I know a lot about where "the good stuff is". And there is a lot of it, and it is free, you just need to know where to look and how to use the various methods of finding, downloading, and packaging that is used for all of this good, free stuff. What is all of this good, free, fun stuff you ask? Pretty much anything digital that you can think of. Movies, music, programs, software, games, updates and upgrades, just things that you need or want but just cannot afford right now. If I went out and purchased everything I ever wanted for my computer, I would have been broke a long time ago. When you take lessons, even just one, you will get all of that, all that you can fit into a single lesson, that is. Just ask or tell me what you want or what your interests are and I will make a lesson plan to please. You will get your education and exposure to all of "the good stuff", where it is, how to find it, and how to use it. So before you dismiss computer lessons as something trivial that you don't need, think for a moment, "If this guy can show me how to grab all of the movies I ever wanted, then it would be worth the hundred dollar lesson." , and then you will begin to see the point.
About our offered services :
Call Pauls PC Works or use our handy Question Form to initiate contact with me and tell me your situation. I can then offer advice, recommend you bring in your equipment for service (In most cases, this is only the PC itself, you can leave the rest of the stuff at home.), or setup a service call to your home or place of business. Making a call or using the question form does not obligate you in any way, it is simply a way to make contact and get some of the questions you have answered to help you make the right decision on what to do. For example, if your computer were under warranty, I would recommend that you contact the manufacturer like Dell and get your PC serviced for free, rather than bring it here and spend money when you don't have to. For some individuals, time is worth more than money and they would rather just call somebody to get the job done instead of calling up Dell or HP, waiting on hold, talking to a machine, then answering questions like "Is the computer plugged in?", "Did you try to turn it on?", and so on and so forth. I can free you up from that chore to go do things you like or do best like making money in your particular field of business.
Above is just a general list of the kinds of things we do here at Pauls PC Works. If you have a question or situation that you do not see addressed above, call or use the form to ask about it. I aim to please and I try to get things done, in a timely fashion to get you satisfied. This works out well for me because if I make you happy, then you will recommend me to your friends, family, and associates and I will get more business.
Most computer repairs cost $100. Hardware is extra and some jobs may cost more. I charge this kind of rate not because I can but because I pay attention to detail. Your data is backed up. Viruses, spyware, malware, and unnecessary running programs are weeded out. Updates are performed, drivers are updated and this kind of attention to detail takes time. Lots of it. Many computer repairs can take from 10 to 20 hours or more to complete. Not "back breaking 20 hour labor" but more like filling out variables, inserting discs, waiting for updates to download and install, waiting for formats to complete, waiting for defrags and disk checks to complete, etc. 45 minutes here, 1/2 hour there, 2 hours here, another 3 hours, etc. and so on. But, in the end, you get service that is unparalleled by any other computer repair service and will be quite pleased.
If you need something that you do not see listed, please feel free to inquire about it, I just might be the one to be able to help you out or at the very least, can recommend someone who can. Because I am and have been an electronic technician for my entire life, I can help with just about any electronic project that you may have or be working on, or would like to implement.

Custom Built Systems :
I build computers from scratch to suit the needs of the individual customer. Prices range from $200 plus parts and up. Most home PCs can be built for the $200 with parts additional. We discuss your various needs and price range and I will come up with several solutions for you to pick through and finally settle on the one you like best. I am always open to suggestions and new ideas, please feel free to discuss anything you might wish your computer to do to see if I can make it happen for you.
Classes, Education, & Tutoring :
I do intend to offer computer training for those of us that need it, however, I am a professional and if I come to you and offer personal tutoring, in your home, at your convenience, then I do charge a decent price for that service, at least $100 or I can not come out. I have bills to pay and I know of no personal trainer, karate teacher, piano teacher, etc., that will come to me at my home and tutor me personally, one on one, for less than that. It just is not possible. If you want training at a bargain price, I would suggest you try out some of the local computer schools and adult education classes, they are affordable, you sign up, pay the tuition, and attend the classes as they are scheduled and sit with the other students and learn. But if you want personal one on one computer training, then it is not cheap, training will cost $100 for each session of up to two hours. I will supply any software that is needed or requested for the training and assist in setting up your computer to make your experience enjoyable and something that you will look forward to. $100 is not a lot of money to have a professional come to you personally and tutor you one on one in your own home. If this is what you want and is within your budget, by all means, contact me and let's set something up and work at your own pace. You really do not need a lot of classes, just a few of them will give you the confidence you need to sit at the PC and take command of it's powerful resources and you will know at last, that you, are the one in charge.
By the way, discounts are available when I post fliers with discount coupons on them and am flexible to meet your needs and requirements. If you need something done and are limited in what you have to spend, contact me and I may be able to make adjustments to help you out.
Thank you for your time and thank you for visiting paulspcworks.com.
